Custom creation of a double base for a helmet and a shield.

Project Type: Our client wanted to create a base to display this pair of helmets and shields. The immediate constraints imposed on us were to fit these custom bases into two niches of a predetermined size. We therefore had to keep this constraint in mind throughout the creation of the bases.

We're used to making bases for all kinds of headdresses. For this project, we grafted a headdress base to hold the helmet onto a stem. This stem has a curve designed to hold the shield.

The difficulty is to respect the spatial constraints of the niches and to create a harmonious and coherent helmet/shield assembly.

Several details had to be clarified in order to obtain the result hoped for by the client, taking into account the numerous constraints already mentioned.

Detail: The choice of patina is left to the customer, here a slightly speckled brown.
