Custom-made wooden mounts
Thanks to our custom-made wooden stands, your works of art can be displayed with elegance.
Custom-made wooden mounts are an excellent alternative to steel or brass. A transparent varnish that reveals the grain of the wood gives them a vibrant appearance. Even when colour is applied, some of the wood’s natural tones remain visible.
At La Bulle, we work with wood in our workshop at the Paris Saint-Ouen Flea Market, which means that we are entirely independent when creating these custom-made mounts.
We assist you throughout the mount-making process, from selecting the most suitable type of wood to choosing the colour of the final patina.
The La Bulle workshop enables us to create shaped wooden mounts, which provide an ideal foundation for small custom-mounting projects as part of our express mounting service.
Through this service, we undertake to create small mounts in just a few hours. These usually consist of a wooden base fitted with a rod and a simple system for holding the object in place.

Steel is relatively easy to work with and offers excellent value for money. Most of the time, we give it a black finish using epoxy paint or spray paint.

Why combine several materials?
To benefit from the advantages offered by each material used in the mount.
For example, when combining brass and acrylic, we use the malleability of brass together with the transparency and strength of acrylic to create a solid and elegant mount.
Another entirely possible option is a mixed steel and wood mount.
The wooden base of your mount is produced in our workshop, where it is cut, polished and stained to suit your preferences. A steel plate, which can also be finished in the colour of your choice, is then fitted beneath the wooden base and made slightly wider. This gives the mount additional stability as well as a particularly attractive appearance.

Production times mainly depend on the size of the object and the material used to create the custom-made mount. It is easier to work with the objects themselves. A deposit receipt is issued as soon as you entrust an object to us. Your objects are covered by our insurance from the moment they are deposited at our shop.
