Mixed base

Bases in Paris and custom mixed bases

The custom mixed base: Let your creativity take over.

As an art lover, you enjoy being surprised by what you see. You love to feel an emotion that is out of the ordinary.
By opting for a custom mixed base, you truly break the mold, and the possibilities are endless.
First and foremost, it's important to define what a custom mixed base is.
It's a base composed of two materials:
Wood/Steel, Brass/Plexiglas, but you can invent the combination that suits you best, within technical feasibility.
In our shop/workshop in the heart of Les Puces de Paris Saint-Ouen, we create custom bases in consultation with our clients. We help you choose the display solution best suited to your tastes, your budget, and your object.

In our workshop shop, you will also find a set of standard displays (mass-produced), in Plexiglas, steel, and wood, as well as a mixed display.

Custom mixed bases, a quality alliance
for your art objects

The custom mixed base allows you to multiply presentation ideas.
Each of the two materials used allows your custom display to benefit from their reciprocal qualities.

Custom mixed base: play with the base of
your custom display

If you opt for a mixed base, the rod is often made of brass or steel to best support your art object.
For the rest, let your imagination run wild.
Now is the time to work on your base.
To do this, you can imagine making a wooden base with a dark patina that will give body to your object/base ensemble. Or, on the contrary, you can choose to lighten everything with a simply varnished wooden base without added color, or even make a transparent Plexiglas base.
These choices are made when you drop off your objects; we will show you samples of patina shades, as well as the different materials that can be mixed.

For this example, you see a dark patinated wooden base raised underneath by a steel plate. This steel detail brings undeniable added value to the entire mounted object.
