The Olympic medal through time.

In antiquity, when the games were still held exclusively in Olympia, Greece, victory was celebrated in several ways.
At that time, the winner received a laurel wreath, whose leaves came from a sacred olive tree located near the Temple of Zeus, in Greece. Considered sacred, the wreath symbolized peace and victory.
In addition to the laurel wreath, the winners of the Games were celebrated with poems or statues made in their honor.
They also received material rewards, such as amphorae filled with oil. These amphorae were of great value at the time. The winner could also be exempt from taxes.
Finally, celebrations and parades were organized to celebrate the victory.
At the Olympic Games, victory was an immense honor for the winner, but also for the entire city from which he originated.
The inscription of the winners' names in the registers gave them an immortal status.

The Modern Olympic Games
Although the practice of sport has changed since antiquity, some traditions remain. For example, the Olympic flame is still lit in Olympia before traveling to the host country of the Olympic Games.
In 1896, at the time of the first modern Olympic Games held in Athens, there were only two types of medals.
The silver medal was dedicated to the winner while the bronze was reserved for the second. Gold was not used then because it was considered too precious.
For the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris, no medals were distributed, it was necessary to wait for the 1904 Olympiad in Saint-Louis in the United States for gold, silver and bronze to be used to reward the winners.
In 1924 in Paris, the Summer Olympics were joined by the Winter Olympics organized in Chamonix.
For 40 years, the design of the medals remained unchanged and was attributed to Giuseppe Cassioli.
Today, the design of the Winter Games medals is free.

La Bulle mounts the Paris 2024 Olympic torches
A custom base specially designed for the Olympic torches.
For several months, we have welcomed several clients to our workshop boutique in Les Puces with Olympic torches to mount.
A nice word-of-mouth system has been set up, and we have developed a simple and affordable custom base.
Here is the torch, designed by Mathieu Lehanneur
This very design object was designed in the designer's workshops in Issy les Moulineau
The clients' observation is simple: How to present this emblematic torch of a festive moment.
We thought about it and found a simple and effective system to display the torch.
A simple and effective custom wooden base
Here is the proposed base. It consists of two parts:
A wooden base with coves and a round wooden rod.

Placing the torch on the base
Simply insert the lower part of the torch onto the wooden rod and you're done.

Note that for all the manipulations we carried out with the Olympic torch, it was covered with a protective plastic film. As illustrated below
Here is the Olympic torch, ready to be displayed in a living room, a display case or a museum.
