Unusual project to create steel display stands for electric scooters.
The project we carried out a few years ago for the Roo-elec store in Paris was, to say the least, very unusual.
Project nature: Create four steel display stands strong enough to support the weight of electric scooters.
The constraints were significant, because for those who know this store in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, they know it's very small. The manager's idea was to create steel display stands to present some of his scooter models at height, thereby saving space. The larger scooters would be displayed higher up, and the smaller ones below.

Preliminary work before creating the
custom bases
And that's how it all begins. With a drawing, to clearly visualize the project and validate the exact dimensions of the display stand with the client.
Even the opening of the display stand's head is calculated on this drawing.
Today, we create 3D simulations with animation possibilities.

In this example, the dimensions of the future display stand have been transferred to a 3D drawing.
These 3D models allow the client to validate the project.
It is from these drawings that we produce the first series or prototypes.

What are the characteristics of the steel display stand for scooters?
- A wide base for maximum stability
- An adjustment knob to modify the height of the display stands.
- The knob rod goes through the length of the central bar to prevent the tray from sliding down.
- The angle of the tray receiving the scooter has been designed to allow the scooter to stand.
- For added security, a strap is installed.
All that's left is to place the scooter on the upper tray and secure it with the strap.
